Hello Hackney!

Members from Stop Start Meters Haringey are working with Hackney residents to set up a Stop Smart Meters Hackney campaign.

This blog article will act as a bridge as the Hackney campaign emerges.

A new web page has been created for Other Campaigns, see here.

Hackney residents are welcome to download our literature, see here. Our version of the “Notice of Non-Consent for “Smart” Meter Installation, Notice of Liability” is particularly recommended as it includes weblinks to scientific papers and other important literature.

Hello Stoke Newington!

Two members from Stop Smart Meters Haringey visited Stoke Newington on 1 April 2017 and met our Hackney friends. Again, we were speaking to many local residents and handing out literature with the objective to developing a local group for Stoke Newington. The feedback was also very good!

Stoke Newington High Street reminds us not only of Tottenham but also Crouch End, Highgate, Muswell Hill and Stroud Green!

Hello Dalston!

Two members from Stop Smart Meters Haringey visited Dalston on 25 March 2017 and met our Hackney friend. Again, we were speaking to many local residents and handing out literature with the objective to developing a local group for Dalston. The feedback was also very good!

Dalston reminds us very much of Tottenham because it shares a similar socio-economic profile. The Ridley Road market and the Kingsland High Street is exceptionally busy, like a football-day on High Road, Tottenham!

Hello Stamford Hill!

Two members from Stop Smart Meters Haringey visited Stamford Hill on 24 March 2017 speaking to local residents and handing out literature with the objective to developing a local group for Stamford Hill. The feedback was very good!

We’d like the Hasidic Jewish community to also get involved and support both the Haringey and Hackney campaigns.

As you may know from our website, Stop Smart Meters Haringey is a research-driven campaign with intellectual input not just within Haringey, but across London, the UK and occasionally from the USA!

We are interested to see how the Smart “Meter” installation programme is going to operate in areas such as Stamford Hill, see here and here.

It is important to note that the holy day of rest and worship is found in many religions, see here.

Thank you for reading our blog. You are encouraged to post this article on all social media platforms.
